Dr. Srinivasan is a professor in the Computer Science department. His research interests include algorithms and combinatorial optimization; probabilistic methods, algorithmic statistics, and machine learning; network science, algorithms, and technology for public health (e.g., networked phenomena in infectious diseases, sensing including crowdsourced approaches, optimization, and climatic effects); algorithms in networking (wireless and peer-to-peer), social networks, and distributed computing; algorithms and modeling uncertainty in computational biology; and computational approaches to sustainable growth (incl. energy, monitoring and sensing, electric-power and water networks).
