Impact of Giving

In general, my annual gift to Maryland is to contribute back for the great and inexpensive education I received. The amount I've given since I've graduated (at least 15,000 over 15 years) is not even close to the value of the education I received. Since 2007, my gift represents a living memorial for my mother who passed away then from cancer. While not necessarily direct, maybe my gift will help a student one day find a great discovery that could change lives.

Amit and Ruchi Mehta Graduate Research Award

Amit '96 and Ruchi '00 Mehta established the Amit and Ruchi Mehta Graduate Research Award in September 2012 to support graduate students in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences who have international education experience and a desire to serve the broader international community after they graduate.
