The Jahanvi Desai Educational Foundation established the Jahanvi Desai Memorial Endowed Scholarship for the University of Maryland in August 2024. This fund is named in memory of Jahanvi Desai ’03 and aims to honor the creative, independent spirit and love of learning that she embraced. It provides merit-based scholarships for undergraduate students experiencing unmet essential needs.
UMD’s essential needs and resource efforts, managed by the director of essential needs services, housed within the Division of Student Affairs’ Dean of Students Office, provides both short-term emergency support and long-term support services to address essential needs crises by connecting students with relevant resources.
