The Roger and Alicia Betancourt Fellowship in Applied Economics was established in November 2006 by former doctoral students of Dr. Roger Betancourt, in honor of Dr. Betancourt's scholarly guidance, academic mentoring, professional assistance and his wife's support. Spendable Income from the Roger and Alicia Betancourt Fellowship in Applied Economics provides annual support for a doctoral fellowship in applied economics in the Department of Economics in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences.
