Zhanqing Li, Ph.D. ’91 established the Atmospheric and Oceanic Science Prize Fund for Dissertation and Publication Excellence in November 2021 to reward notable dissertations and student publications in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (CMNS). Zhanqing Li is an esteemed professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science at the University of Maryland whose research focuses on the interactions between clouds, pollution and climate.
