The Fretz Memorial Research Endowment support students in the Department of Psychology in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences who are conducting research. This fund was established in honor of Bruce Fretz. Bruce Fretz served as a faculty member at the University of Maryland for three decades. Beginning in September 1965, he taught in the Department of Psychology then later served as director of the counseling program. From 1992 to 1994, he was associate provost of academic affairs. In January 1995, he returned to his work in the psychology department, where he continued his service to the university until retiring in December 1995.
