Grentzer Endowment for Choral Studies

The Grentzer Endowment for Choral Studies will provide financial support for merit-based scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students in the Choral Program. Funding may support graduate fellowships; travel; composition and commissioning; general initiatives of the Choral Program with a preference for advancing the composition, study, and performance of choral music; and/or performance opportunities for students affiliated with the Choral Program, including non-majors participating in all choirs administered by the School of Music.

The Grentzer Endowment is intended to honor the educational and musical accomplishments of Professor Grentzer and to encourage choral excellence at Maryland. In particular, it is hoped that the fund can be used to encourage non-music majors to broaden their musical experiences and continue to advance the university's reputation for excellence in choral performance, education, innovation, and composition.
