Mary A. Ross and Robert W. Ross Endowed Scholarship

Dr. Margaret Ann Ross established the Mary A. Ross and Robert W. Ross Endowed Scholarship to provide need- and merit-based scholarships for undergraduate students who are majoring in mathematics or sciences in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences. Margaret Ann Ross, a three-time graduate of the University of Maryland, and her children, Christopher Palmer Ross and John Robert Ross, hope to honor the memory of their husband and father, Robert W. Ross, and sister-in-law and aunt, Mary Ann Ross, while assisting a future mathematician or scientist with their academic achievements through this fund.

Robert, a graduate of Purdue University, earned his B.S and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Space Sciences and Physics. Robert was a long-time employee of NASA-Goddard before his death in 2012. Mary Ann, who was also a Purdue University alumnus, earned her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Psychology with an emphasis in Statistics. Mary Ann was also a long-time employee at Purdue University.
