Since receiving his B.S. in chemistry from the University of Maryland in 1966, Professor Tobin J. Marks has distinguished himself among the world's most accomplished scientists in the field of (in)organic chemistry and material science. He is committed to academic excellence and vigorous research that is innovative, collaborative and interdisciplinary. The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry shares this vision and is proud and honored that Dr. Marks has established a lectureship in his name at his alma mater. This lectureship will further the department's accomplishments, strengthen our community of students, faculty and researchers, and create extraordinary opportunities to host and engage renowned chemists at the University.
