The University of Maryland Alumni Association established the University of Maryland Alumni Association New York Alumni Network TerpStart Endowed Scholarship in October 2014 to provide annual need-based scholarships for undergraduate students from New York City under the auspices of the TerpStart Matching Scholarship Program.
