Terrapin Rockets is a student-run organization at the University of Maryland, comprised of cross-disciplined undergraduate and graduate students, whose members are united by a shared passion for rocketry. Our organization designs, builds, and launches high-powered rockets for competition.
The team's main focus is on The Spaceport America Cup, an international collegiate rocket competition and the world's largest rocket competition. We offer numerous technical projects and leadership opportunities. Our team takes projects through a full engineering life cycle and has complete ownership of projects. Whether a student wants to handle administrative work or gain manufacturing experience, we have a spot for everyone.
