The Basil and Anne Hatziolos Scholarship Fund for Veterinary Medical research provides research fellowships to students of Greek origin who have completed a degree in veterinary medicine and have been accepted into the graduate program of the Maryland Campus of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Maryland at College Park. The fellowships are intended to support research aimed at the pathology and microbiology of disease in animals and fish with special emphasis on the application of biotechnology/molecular biology pertaining to the pathogenesis of diseases in animals and fish.
