Brian P. Kelly, AIA Travel Abroad Current-Use Fund in the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation

Education abroad is an important experience for would-be architects, planners, preservationists and real estate developers. The opportunity to travel, to experience different cultures, to live in intense urban contexts, and to engage the history of architecture, urbanism, landscape, and art from foreign lands is a life-changing experience. Over the years, the School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation has sponsored education abroad experiences in France, Italy, Russia, Scandinavia, Turkey, The United Kingdom and numerous other locations. Traveling with their faculty mentors, nascent Terrapin built environment professionals gain new perspectives on their disciplines. This fund provides opportunities for students in the School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation to make the world their classroom.
