The David E. Mills Memorial Scholarship Fund provides one or more annual scholarships to UM Students who work on The Diamondback. Tribute to David E. Mills, the recipient should share a commitment to, and passion for, issues of diversity. The ideal recipient will also pose a strong understanding of the importance of diversity in a student-run newspaper. The University and the David E. Mills Memorial Scholarship Committee will encourage a diverse pool of applicants to apply for the scholarship. Recipients must have worked for The Diamondback for at least two semesters and must continue to work as a reporter or editor at the Diamondback while receiving the scholarship.
