First Look Institute established the First Look Institute Current-Use Student Support Fund in Journalism in January 2023. This fund provides support for undergraduate or graduate students in the Philip Merrill College of Journalism. This is one of multiple funds supporting a three-year press freedom project through journalistic reporting and writing, teaching and service in the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland.
