Herschel S. Horowitz Endowed Chair in Health Literacy
Health starts where we live, learn, work and play. The School of Public Health is addressing such complex issues as tobacco control, aging, air pollution, cancer prevention, access to affordable health care, veterans’ mental health and many other issues that impact our lives every day. The school partners with communities and applies research to promote health and eliminate health disparities—the unfair and preventable differences in health status—for the diverse communities of Maryland and beyond. Your support funds their work as well as expanded opportunities for students to get the training and education that will help them solve the challenges of public health.
