Friends of Maryland Women's Tennis Fund is the official fan club of the University of Maryland women's tennis program. The club works to support Maryland’s tennis program and recruit more fans to watch the teams. Friends of Maryland Women’s Tennis is a sport specific fundraising group that provides a tangible and consistent way to focus fan enthusiasm and support into specific initiatives to benefit Maryland Tennis. Members of Friends of Maryland Tennis include former Tennis players, parents of current tennis players, faculty, staff, and fans of Maryland Women’s tennis.
The goals of the Friends of Maryland Women’s Tennis are to:
(1) raise money for special projects and services for the Tennis program not covered in the annual athletic department budget.
(2) sponsor activities which foster a positive family atmosphere and spirit.
(3) ensure good communication and exchange of information between the coaching staff and its core group of supporters.
Donations are responsible for a variety of purchases to further the progress of the Maryland Women’s Tennis program by supplementing the state operating budget. Your support enables the Maryland Women’s Tennis team to make these important purchases outside of the annual state budget.
Gifts in support of the University of Maryland are accepted and managed by the University of Maryland College Park Foundation, Inc., an affiliated 501(c)(3) organization authorized by the Board of Regents.
