Steven and Carol Hurtt Education Abroad Endowment

This fund provides annual support for graduate students with financial need to participate in education abroad with the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation (MAPP). It was established in honor of Steven W. Hurtt, who served as Dean of the School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation from 1990 until 2004. A tireless community and university servant, he enhanced and expanded the school by adding master’s degrees in Historic Preservation and Community Planning, as well as the Ph.D. in Urban and Regional Planning and Design. Support to this fund helps MAPP prepare our future architects to develop and implement the best of urban and architectural ideas in an ever-growing landscape of global issues related to the built environment.
