The Program for Society and the Environment (PSE) creates a home at the University of Maryland for research on the study of the society-environment relationship. PSE is grounded in Maryland’s and BSOS’s strategic plan priorities to “be a force in fostering greater understanding of human relations and the natural environment.” PSE serves as a hub for social scientists and students who study all aspects of the society-environment relationship. Gifts into the Program for Society and the Environment Fund will provide general operating support to enhance the program's activities and research related initiatives
