| The Appleman-Norton Award in Botany was established in July 1963, from royalties received from a botany laboratory manual prepared by the staff of the Botany Department at UMCP. The fund provides a prize to be presented to the outstanding senior botany major at UMCP. The award is named in honor of Drs. C. O. Appleman and J.B.S. Norton, former Chairmen of the Botany Department. |
