Dr. Brad D. Lerner ‘80 and Dovita A. Lerner ‘84 established the Brad and Dovita Lerner Endowed Scholars Fund in November 2016 to provide merit-based awards for undergraduate students in the Department of Biology. A dual alumni couple, the Lerners have a strong affinity for the university and fond memories of their undergraduate student experiences. They appreciate the educational foundation they received at the University of Maryland, which enabled them to pursue post-graduate studies and successful careers in the life sciences.
