In honor of Dr. Walter S. Mietus and Angela M. Mietus, the Dr. Walter S. and Angela M. Mietus Memorial Veterans Scholarship provides scholarship support for student veterans, active duty service members or reservists of any branch of service and are majoring in Education, Engineering, or Mathematics at the University of Maryland, College Park.
