The Michael and Janice Doyle Fund was established in 2013 in the College of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (CMNS) to honor Professor Michael Doyle and his wife, Janice Doyle, and their ties to the University of Maryland. Professor Doyle is a former faculty member and Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry who transformed undergraduate programs and significantly expanded department diversity. Janice Doyle was the University Systems of Maryland’s (USM) Chief of Staff and Board of Regents Secretary. She served USM for nine years and is admired and cherished by her team and commended for many contributions to higher education in the state of Maryland.
Gifts to this fund will support costs associated with staff retreats and other professional events designated for staff within the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
