The A. James and Alice B. Clark Foundation established the Robert J. and Elizabeth O. Flanagan Maryland Promise Scholarship in April 2023 under the auspices of the Clark Challenge for the Maryland Promise Program. This fund is named in honor of Clark Enterprises Board Chair and Clark Foundation Board Member, Robert Flanagan, and his wife Elizabeth. It provides need-based scholarships for undergraduate students who are residents of Maryland or the District of Columbia, with preference for students in the A. James Clark School of Engineering.
