The Department of Aerospace Engineering in the A. James Clark School of Engineering established the Robert Rivello Endowed Scholarship in October 1995 to award a scholarship to the undergraduate in aerospace engineering with the highest overall academic average through junior year. This fund was established to honor the memory of Robert Rivello, a faculty member who joined the UMD staff in 1946 and, during his tenure, twice served as chairman of the Aerospace Engineering Department.
