Barbara Riggs ’68, M.Ed. ’85 established the William and Barbara Riggs and Family Endowed Program Support Fund for TerpsEXCEED in the College of Education in June 2024. This fund provides program support for TerpsEXCEED in the Center for Transition and Career Innovation in the Department of Counseling, Higher Education and Special Education in the College of Education.
TerpsEXCEED, launched in 2021, is a two-year inclusive higher education program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Barbara Riggs and her family established these funds in memory of her husband, William “Bill” E. Riggs, and in honor of Billy Riggs, her grandson who successfully completed the TerpsEXCEED program in May 2024.
