In our increasingly globalized world, students must have the opportunity to travel and experience other cultures to prepare them to become future leaders. Study abroad programs are meant to give students this chance. Unfortunately, most low-income, first generation college students cannot take advantage of these opportunities because of the costs. The Department of African American Studies at the University of Maryland wants to change this but needs your help.
Your donation into the African American Studies Study Abroad Scholarship Fund will subsidize the costs of a study abroad programs hosted by the Department of African American Studies. With your contribution of $50 to $1000, you can make it possible for many students to have a life-changing experience.
