The Center for American Politics and Citizenship (CAPC) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit research institution within the Department of Government and Politics of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland. The Center addresses major issues of governance and explores the relationship between politics and the people. We bridge the gap between academic work and practical solutions to problems and foster a dialogue that leads to action and participation. Through research, education, and outreach, the Center provides first class training that facilitates our University’s role as a leader in the development of knowledge about American politics. The Center's overall goal is to promote an informed and engaged public and offer solutions for a more effective and responsive government.
The Center for American Politics and Citizenship (CAPC) Operating Fund provides support for the Center's initiatives and programming efforts. Click here to learn more about about Center for American Politics and Citizenship (CAPC).
