The University of Maryland, College Park acknowledges the generous commitment of Craig A. Thompson and Deborah Thompson to establish the Craig and Deborah Thompson Current-Use Scholarship.
The Craig and Deborah Thompson Current-Use Scholarship will provide need-based scholarships for students enrolled in or interested in pursuing a degree from the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Preference will go to students participating in the Maryland Incentive Awards Program from Baltimore City schools. Awards may be renewable provided that the recipient maintains satisfactory academic progress and financial need. The Office of Student Financial Aid will administer the fund and select recipients based on recommendations from the director of the Incentive Awards Program or her/his designee(s), in consultation with the dean of the College of Behavioral or Social Sciences or his/her designee(s). In the event that no eligible student meets these criteria, the scholarship may be awarded to an undergraduate student enrolled in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences from Baltimore City.
