Make A Gift Reid and Nancy Compton Maryland Promise Scholarship

Reid and Nancy Compton established this Maryland Promise Scholarship in April 2024 through the Clark Challenge, providing need-based scholarships for Maryland and D.C. undergraduates, with preference for CMNS students. Dr. Reid Compton, a longtime UMD biology lecturer and former director of the Biological Sciences Program, retired in 2024 after 27 years of service. He also led the College Park Scholars Life Sciences Program and is a proud Terp parent.
